Andrea Griffin, LVT
Born and raised in the Alpena area, Andrea joined the Switzer Veterinary Team in 2006 when she graduated from Michigan State University’s Veterinary Technician program.
While not at work she enjoys spending time with her husband Todd, children Jace and Gwyneth and their dogs Lucy and Coco. Andrea also enjoys hunting small game and deer, and playing a friendly game of Texas Hold’em with her friends.
Danielle Roeske, LVT
Danielle graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelors in Veterinary Technology in 2015 and joined the Switzer Veterinary Clinic in July 2017. Her professional interests include small animal dentistry and physical therapy and rehabilitation following an injury or surgery.
In her her free time, Danielle enjoys spending time with her two cats, Mya and Brody, fishing, reading classics and nature hikes.
Jeanne has been working for Switzer Veterinary Clinic since the mid 1990′s. Most of the time you will see her smiling face as she greets you at the front desk. She also manages ordering pet food and items in the retail section – if you need something and can’t find it, Jeanne will gladly help you.When not at work Jeanne enjoys performing agility with her dogs, riding her horses and going on long kayak trips with her friends and family.
Stacy has been part of the Switzer Veterinary Clinic since 2006 where she enjoys assisting with anesthesia and being a receptionist. Stacy always has a smile on her face and is the one to count on to cheer you up on a gloomy day. She also makes a great pot of coffee!While not at work Stacy enjoys spending time with her family and assortment of different pets such as sheep, chickens and dogs.
Alyseya joined the Switzer Veterinary Clinic in May 2014 as a veterinary assistant. As animal lover, Alyseya has excelled in both 4-H and FFA in Alpena county during her high school career. She is committed to providing patients and their pet parents with personalized attention and loving care.When not helping care for the animals at the clinic, Alyseya is traveling statewide for rodeos and competing in local horse shows around Alpena. During the off months, you can find her in the woods hunting, out on the lake with a fishing pole in her hands and spending time with her family.
Dani joined Switzer Veterinary Clinic in January of 2017 as a Veterinary Assistant. Dani grew up in Posen, Michigan, but her work in the Veterinary field began in 2012 as a Receptionist at an Animal Hospital in Kingsland, Georgia, where she also worked as the Office Manager and Director of Marketing.
Dani attended Patterson Veterinary University in Jacksonville, Florida, where she received her Certifications in Practice Management by taking classes in Inventory, Finance and Marketing. She also attended the NAVC in 2013, where her main focus was learning about heartworm disease and prevention in dogs and cats. She is also a professional vocalist and performed with several bands in the Jacksonville, Florida area, opening for artists like Eddie Money.
Amanda joined the Switzer Veterinary Clinic in June 2017 as a veterinary assistant. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in 2017 and hopes to continue onto veterinary school at MSU in the the future. But for now, she loves being part of the clinic and meeting and helping with all the pets that come in. When she’s not at work, her and her husband enjoy hunting, fishing, kayaking and hanging out with friends and family. She has a dog, Rex, and three guinea pigs.
Ashley joined the Switzer Veterinary Clinic in October 2017 as a veterinary assistant where she keeps the back clean as a whistle and the patients comfortable.
Ashley has two dogs, Mia and Tessa, and three horses, Comet, Kariset and Jet. In 2013, Ashley placed 2nd in the state at the International Barrel Racing Association (IBRA) winning the 3D and 4D trophy saddles. Ashley has also shown market steers, sheep, chickens and rabbits at the Alpena County Fair.
She lives on a farm in Alpena with her cattle and horses.
Hazel joined the team in 2017. Her major duties include stress reduction, lap warming, Facebook contributor and cat toy product testing.
In her free time, she enjoys sleeping in a patch of sunshine and chasing feather toys.
